We needed to show how the playlist “Your Daily Drive” can play a role in the car, beyond the traditional commute drive.

We found that most people don’t know Your Daily Drive exists, and Spotify users love how personal the platform can be.

Our solution was to create Spotify MyRide, an incentivizing new extension of Your Daily Drive that allows users to customize their ride with cover art from music, podcasts and news right from their YDD playlist.

Your Daily Drive will feature a new icon, the car, next to the essential icons.

After clicking on the car, users will be brought to a page to choose their car, or a nicer one.

After selecting a car, users will be shown their YDD albums, and they can pick and choose albums to wrap on the car.

Users always have the option to change their car an album, or they can click on the virtual garage button.

If a user goes to the virtual garage, they have the option to edit their cars, explore others’ cars, or invite friends.

In the Explore page, they can browse friend’s wrapped cars, cars in their city or other locations, and other artists.

After clicking on someone’s creation, the user can see the featured wrap as well as their most streamed albums. And yes, of course Kanye put Kanye on his car.

Interactive walls will be placed in malls and popular outdoor areas so Spotify members and non-Spotify members can design a life size car to put on display.

Finally, 4 big cities will feature a real car with high-res projectors placed above them. Spotify users can walk up, scan a QR code, and project their favorite album onto the car to see what their creation would look like in real life.
